Screens exert on us a fatal fascination, diverting our gaze from ourselves to them. Our own brain varies when we look at them: they activate our task-oriented neural network, while the areas responsible of introspection and reflection about our emotions turn off. And never before has it been so easy to hijack our gaze as in the hypermediated world in which we inhabit.

Likewise, the screen is slave to our gaze. Can the screen emancipate from this tyranny? Can it be an observer while being observed? Can the screen anthropomorphize? And if so, what do screens think about?
