The representation and capture of nature has been a constant through art history. Since photography appeared and its later development alongside other technologies we have been able to create incresingly more sophisticated images.

Using technology to capture nature is a way to acknowledge our inclination to consider it something separate from us, to give it a metaphysical entity. Nature versus culture. However, showing the media’s imperfections fingerprints and its inner mechanisms is a strategy that help us to emphasize the existence and contingency of these entities in a hypermediated world in which the once unstoppable technological positivism is beginning to show marks of its exhaustion and that allow us to study nature, culture and technology from different angles and perspectives.
